We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Vice President, Brokerage Development, for our Americas headquarters located on Park Avenue in New York City.  This position is based out of our headquarters, with a flexible working environment for either a hybrid or remote setting.  The Vice President, Brokerage Development, will report to the Senior Vice President, Brokerage Development.  In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our franchisees business using data and strategic thinking to provide comprehensive business consulting services to Engel & Völkers franchisees. You will work closely with franchise owners to identify growth opportunities, develop and implement data-driven strategies, and provide executive-level coaching.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Build strong relationships with franchisees and act as a trusted advisor on the following aspects of brokerage development:

Business Consultation:

  • Provide strategic business advice to franchisees on various aspects of their operations, including marketing, sales, and brokerage management.
  • Identify business priorities and areas for franchisee growth and expansion.
  • Conduct in-depth operational analysis with franchisees to improve efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Develop customized action plans to address franchisee challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices through networking opportunities among franchisees.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with franchisees to assess performance, set goals, and ensure accountability.
  • Make recommendations for franchisees to leverage various aspects of the brand, ensuring advisors, brokers, and staff receive the necessary training and development.
  • When specific needs related to talent attraction, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), or shop renewals arise, refer License Partners to the Vice President, Business Development team members who specialize in these fields to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.

Financial Consultation:

  • Assist franchisees in developing sound financial strategies to achieve their business goals.
  • Analyze franchisee financial performance (P&L, income statement analysis) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Educate franchisees on financial best practices and industry trends.

Data Analysis and Strategy:

  • Analyze franchisee business and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance franchisee performance and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to build predictive models to forecast market trends and advisor performance.
  • Create insightful reports and presentations to communicate data findings and action plans to franchisees and internal stakeholders for informed decision-making.

KOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong consultative and presentation delivery skills.
  • Expertise in business optimization, operational excellence, and performance tracking.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, project management, and CRM software.
  • Experience with P&L analysis, business planning, and goal accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25%.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a business consulting or brokerage operations role, Real estate experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in analyzing data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
